Complete Geyser & Water Heater Maintenance Guide
Prevent scaling, thermostat malfunctions, and water leakage with timely seasonal servicing for electric geysers.
Hard water causes severe mineral scaling inside water heaters, reducing heating efficiency and damaging the heating element.
1. Flush the Tank Annually
Draining and flushing sediment from the bottom of the tank prevents hot spots and tank corrosion.
2. Replace the Sacrificial Anode Rod
The magnesium anode rod protects the inner steel tank from rusting. It should be inspected every 2 years.
3. Test the Pressure Relief Valve
Lift the test lever on the temperature & pressure safety valve to ensure it discharges water freely and does not stick.
